Hunting Opportunities
All of our hunting is done by 4-wheel drive vehicles, with the basic hunting method of spotting and stalking. Our hunts are 2x1 guided with very capable, experienced guides. We do offer 1x1 hunts for an additional cost. The terrain varies from sagebrush country to the rough, rugged Powder River Breaks. Call to book your hunt.
Our hunting areas for mule deer are along the Little and Big Powder Rivers and the encompassing breaks. The areas vary from rolling hills and sagebrush flats to rugged pine and cedar-covered high country. You will have the opportunity to see 20-30 mature mule deer bucks in a day with the possibility of harvesting a 22" to 28" trophy mule deer.

Deer/Antelope Combo Hunt - $3,995

Antelope hunts take place primarily during the middle of the day. Antelope and mule deer are hunted in the same areas with mule deer hunting occurring in the early morning and late evening. It is not unusual to spot 20 or more pronghorn bucks in a day and you could expect to harvest a 13" - 15" mature buck.

Indian Creek Adventures offers trophy deer, elk and antelope hunts during archery season. Archers have a huge advantage in taking a trophy elk in area 704 because it is during rut. The bulls are really "bugling" and are easier to call within bow range. Archery season is also during the rut for antelope. Prior to the beginning of rifle season (when the big ones go into hiding), decoys and blinds on waterholes offer archers an outstanding opportunity to harvest a trophy mule deer or whitetail by treestands, or spot and stalk during archery season.

Prairie dog shoots are available during the months of June through August. Indian Creek adventures has acquired access to over 500,000 acres of prime prairie dog country that encompasses approximately a 400 mile radius. We provide a 16 ft. trailer with two shooting benches mounted on the back, coolers, range finder, and a large tool box for gear. Clients are respnsible for their own lodging and meals. Most of our shooters average 200-300 rounds per day, depending upon the type of shooting. A 30% non-refundable down payment is required.

Varmint Hunting
Varmint hunting will take place December through February. Price is $250/day per person. That includes room and board at our guest lodge. Varmints available to hunt are coyotes, fox, and badgers.

Guests are welcome to come with clients, but will be required to pay a $750.00 lodging fee.
Most of the hunting will be done from four wheel drive vehicles, leaving early in the morning and returning late in the evening, having lunch in the field each day. Some days we will hunt within several miles of the lodge, other days we will travel far-whichever presents the best opportunity. Skinning and caping is part of our service.
Have your rifles shooting one inch high at 100 yards. We will check your rifles before your hunt starts. I also recommend you consider obtaining a bipod, which has proved very valuable in the field on my hunting trips.
These bipods allow the hunter to get an extremely good rest, thus not missing as many shots.
I anyone in your group has special requirements on accommodations, foods, medications, etc., please let us know.
Remember to bring fluorescent orange vest, cloth, not vinyl. By law you must wear this vest in the field at all times. It must be 400 inches square.
Indian Creek will be happy to recommend taxidermists in our area, or you may take your animals back with you. All deer and antelope meat will be delivered to Broadus, Mt to Broadus Meats. I recommend that you have all your meat butchered and processed, whether you take it back home with you or donate it to the Sportsmen Against Hunger.
All travel arrangements are the responsibility of the hunters. Please let us know your itinerary of your travel schedule at least 30 days before you hunt.
The weather during October and November can be quite unpredictable. Early in the season, from October 8 to about October 20, the weather is normally quite pleasant, with 30 to 40 degree temps in the mornings, up into the 50's, 60's, and 70's on antelope hunts. As later October approaches, ther is the possibility of rain or snow showers. You must be prepared for temperatures down to 15 to 20 degrees. It is now uncommon to hve temperatures down around zero. you must be prepared for anything, even snow. Your are not limited to how much gear you can bring on the hunt, so don't be afraid to bring an extra pair of boots or extra warm equipment, as it may come in handy.
Due to many different types of terrain encountered, as well as the size of the game hunted, a flat shooting and hard hitting caliber rifle with at least 4 power scope is a must. I recommend your rifle to be sighted in a one inch high at 100 yards. Shots range from 25-300 yards. Remember to bring plenty of ammunition and always treat your rifle like it is loaded.
